My name is Amy Wyatt. My purpose for this site is to raise NON-tax deductible funds to hire a private investigator to find as many of the cold case missing persons who have gone missing in the United States of America.
I am NOT a registered non-profit (501c, etc.), so ALL donations made can NOT be written off on your taxes.
IRS allows any person who is NOT a non-profit to fundraise AND IRS requires that I must advertise clearly that ALL donations/gifts can NOT be written off on the donors/givers taxes.
I do NOT want to become a registered 501c due to a loop-hole that allows corruption to prevail. I want to keep tight control of this project. My goal is to raise the necessary funds and turn the funds over to the private investigator.
STAGE ONE:
My plan is to allocate $100,000.00 for each cold case missing person who has disappeared in the United States of America. The person must have been missing at least one year and disappeared in the United States of America.
I will be the one who hires the private investigator. ALL funds will NOT be going directly to families NOR to any charities or non-profits.
Presently, I need to raise $950,000,000.00. If my math is correct, this would fund 9500 cold case missing persons who have disappeared in the United States of America.
I have thought about what I am doing very seriously. I think about this EVERY DAY. While I admit that I am very green about how to start a grassroots campaign and how to use technology, this humanitarian fundraiser is too important to let it go as “too hard” or “no support from the missing person’ industry and society as a whole”.
Apparently, I upset some one (not on Word Press) yesterday whose income is made by soliciting the families whose loved ones are missing and asking them how their loved ones disappearance makes them feel. This person is a researcher who then takes the information and gives it to various companies who then come up with products to help the families to “cope” (which really means to forget) about their loved one and to “get on with their lives”. These products might include mind altering drugs and anything to get them to forget.
Any ways, my fundraiser scared this woman into believing that if I succeed, there won’t be any missing persons whose families she can profit off of. All I have to say to this woman AND any one else who works in the missing persons industry is:
If I succeed, I guarantee you can find another job that is MORE HONORABLE than profiting off of some one’ misery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
STAGE TWO:
While it is my hope and prayer that every cold case missing person who has disappeared in the United States of America is found in STAGE ONE, the one’ who are unable to be found will be moved to STAGE TWO.
My goal for this stage is to purchase one wall mounted flat screen set for each public library in the United States of America. Each set will be programmed to show a picture of the cold case missing person (who disappeared in the United States of America) at the time of disappearance, an age progressed photo, information about the cold case missing person who disappeared in the United States of America, and which law enforcement agency to contact if you have information.
When I researched a few months ago, one site claimed there were over 100,000 public libraries in the United States of America. Whether that is true or not, to purchase the wall mounted screens, program them, regular maintenance and updating, and other costs associated with STAGE TWO, the possibility of this stage costing into the trillions of dollars is looking very real.
As I stated before, I am NOT a registered non-profit (501c, etc.), so ALL donations/gifts can NOT be written off on your taxes, but if you would still like to make a NON-tax deductible donation/gift to help, then God bless you. Your donation/gift will be a blessing.
